For Hurricane Idalia, we assisted with the support of multiple staging sites that served as operational hubs for utility crews and equipment. These sites played a critical role in organizing storm response efforts, enabling efficient deployment, coordination, and sustained power restoration operations—and once deactivated, we fully restored each site to its pre-storm condition.
We supported this Florida cooperative following Hurricane Idalia in 2023 by clearing debris from over 4,100 miles of SVEC right-of-way. Our crews removed hazardous trees, limbs, broken poles, downed wires, and damaged transformers—restoring safe access and supporting the cooperative’s system-wide restoration efforts.
For a Florida utility responding to Hurricane Idalia, we mobilized 250 personnel, 70 trucks, and 27 specialty mulchers to perform large-scale debris removal. Our crews cleared storm-damaged vegetation and obstructions, enabling safe access for utility teams and accelerating the restoration of critical infrastructure.
For Hurricane Nicole, we mobilized 200 personnel, 75 bucket trucks, and dedicated 50 personnel with 20 specialized assets for vegetation and debris removal in preparation for storm response. Thankfully, the storm downgraded before impact and Florida avoided another major blow just weeks after Hurricane Ian. Once conditions cleared, our teams quickly resumed debris clearing and […]
Using a fleet of barges operated by Blue Lake, we transported personnel, materials, and equipment to and from Sanibel Island each day. In addition to supporting our own operations, the barges also transported utility crews, playing a vital role in restoring access and helping get Sanibel Island back up and running after Hurricane Ian.
Following Hurricane Ian, our crews were deployed to Sanibel Island to install silt fencing around multiple storm-damaged resort properties as part of erosion control and environmental protection efforts.
For Hurricane Ian, we supported storm recovery efforts by managing over 20 staging sites across both the east and west coasts of Florida. These sites served as critical operational hubs for utility crews and equipment, generously made possible by individual landowners and Florida companies who allowed their properties to be used to help rebuild infrastructure […]
For Hurricane Ian, we supported a Florida utility with a large-scale storm response operation, mobilizing 600 personnel, 200 bucket trucks, 150 push-crew personnel, and 50 specialized assets for vegetation and debris removal. We cleared extensive ROWs to restore access to damaged infrastructure and also deployed marsh buggies, airboats, and UTVs to reach flooded and remote […]
